WEBSITE UPDATE: today I added a gallery of Jamie's birthday photos to the main website's Pictures section. I also repaired the scroll-through option on each of the previous two galleries. The Home button in each of the four most recent galleries doesn't work at the moment; I'll try to see to it. For now, just close that window when you're done with a gallery!
Hope you enjoy Jamie's birthday. He certainly did!

Jamie turns two tomorrow. Today we read "'Twas the night before Christmas" together for the first time, and I told him the nativity story while we played with the Fisher Price creche set he got as part of his birthday haul. (We celebrated his family birthday last night, because there's a fair chance Paul won't make it home from work before Jamie's bedtime tomorrow.)
AJ rolled from his tummy to his back this afternoon; he must have, because I left him having "tummy time" and turned to the easel to help Jamie with a Christmas tree decorating craft we were working on. I heard a pleased little sound from behind me, and when I turned, he was looking pleasantly surprised and waving his toes in the air. On his back. I doubt he knows how he did it...yet.
I think - touch wood! - that I've finished my Christmas shopping. With all the online options here, and the excellent home delivery, I've had a pretty easy time of it on the whole. We'll be driving up to Kemptville the week before Christmas and celebrating there, so a fair lot of stuff will have to fit into the car. We've just ordered a rooftop cargo box for the Volvo. I know it's going to be very useful! (And not just for hauling holiday loot, either!)
Paul's in Patrick's wedding party; most excellent. (But I must arrange child care if I'm to sing at the ceremony!) They're looking at an evening wedding by candlelight at St. Thomas's, which sounds ideal to me. I hope the details can be worked out easily.
There's a baby sleeping on my shoulder and my arm is going to sleep. And I should be following suit. All for now!
