The word is out: Patrick and Catharine are engaged! As an old married person(tomorrow is Paul's and my eighth anniversary - how is that possible?), I'm much in favour of matrimony, and I think the two of them will have a fine permanent partnership. Patrick has paid me the very great compliment of asking for my help in planning and execution of wedding music. Nothing I like better than executions! They have a date: February 5th at St. Thomas's Church.
Jamie had a wonderful outing last Friday to see the Snapple fire truck at his daycare. Reservations about propagandizing to captive audiences of small children aside, I thought it was a wonderful thing to have arranged for the Kiddie Korner children. They all seemed to enjoy it a lot, and Jamie was in seventh heaven. A full set of pictures are at www.baxtergolding.com under the pictures link, but here's a photo of the two boys at the end of the visit.

AJ has outgrown his first little pair of shoes. Jamie uses "please" as a matter of course when trying to bend someone to his will. My babies are growing too quickly!

AJ was baptized in a lovely service at St. Thomas's Church in Toronto on Sunday. Here he is, not looking too thrilled to be in a dress!
Just to prove that I'm still alive, here I am with AJ.
Now we're home again; Jamie and Jane flew with Paul on Sunday night, and AJ and I brought the car on Monday. AJ was really, really good in the car, but he did prove that he's capable of yelling as loudly as any new baby: he lost it 10 miles outside Cortland and screamed all the way in. I think the volume he produced surprised even him!
